Judy & David's Boombox was a Canadian live-action TV show, featuring Juno award winning husband-and-wife duo Judy and David Gershon, and their boombox that comes to life known as "Boomy."
Aimed at children between the ages 4-9.
The show premiered on Treehouse TV on September 1, 2002 and aired regularly until September 2005, where it, along with Crazy Quilt, Wee 3, Ants in Your Pants and The Bittles, were moved to the graveyard time slots to make room for the new shows. The shorts continued to air until September 3, 2010.
Background[]
In July 1998, it was announced by Judy & David on their website that a 26-episode television series was being developed, known as "Judy & David's World's Smallest TV Show", planning to air in fall 1999. In April 1999, the show was announced as "Judy & David's Boom Box", would have free activities on the website, and began production that month. On May 30, Judy and David had a special concert promoting the series. The show premiered on September 13, 1999.
In April 2000, YTV ordered another 30 episodes as the show was a massive hit. The second season began production in May and ended that August. The second premiered in October 2000.
