The Fairly OddParents

The Fairly OddParents is an American animated television series targeted at kids ages four to twelve created by Butch Hartman that originally aired on Nickelodeon from March 30, 2001 to July 26, 2017. The series follows the everyday misadventures of Timmy Turner, a ten-year-old boy who is granted two fairy godparents named Cosmo and Wanda. It was produced by Frederator Studios (2001–2004), Nickelodeon Animation Studios and Billionfold Inc.(2008–2017).

The series originated from shorts on the animation showcase, Oh Yeah! Cartoons, airing from 1998 to 2001. It was later picked up as a series due to its popularity. Originally, it ended in 2006 totaling five seasons, but resumed production in 2008. Production of the show was halted indefinitely after Hartman left Nickelodeon in February 2018; no new episodes have aired since July 26, 2017.^[3][4]

The Darkness

The Darkness is an ancient being that has existed for tens of thousands of years. He was the main antagonist in the first half of the Wishology trilogy. It was first encounters by the Ancient Fairy Warriors. Only when the fairies combined their powers to neutralize the Darkness by using its natural enemy, light, did they manage to stop the Darkness completely. Thousands of years later, the Darkness returned, seeking out the Chosen One prophesied to stop it. The ancient fairies in the stars were unable to halt it, and the Big Dipperdisappeared when all the fairies in that sector were consumed by the Darkness.
